CEEEC brought two visiting speakers to Laurentian in November 2015. Ecologist Dr. Nicole Mideo (University of Toronto), who previously participated in CEEEC’s Science Cafe on evolutionary medicine, presented in the Department of Biology’s weekly seminar. She spoke about her research on the evolution of malaria parasites. Philosopher of science, Dr. Letitia Meynell (Dalhousie University) spoke of her research about the intersection of values and knowledge production in the Humanities MA Speakers’ Series. Her presentation “Engendering Animals” can be viewed on CEEEC’s YouTube channel.
