Research

I specialize in the philosophy of the life sciences, including the philosophy of biology, bioethics, cultural evolution, and the ethics of ecological research, and the interactions between human and nonhuman animals. My research tends to be broadly interdisciplinary, and I have co-authored publications with specialists in fields as diverse as genetics, public policy, economics, ecology, and gender studies.
